Presented in recognition of his contribution towards the country and community at the Dr Ambedkar 5th International Convention and 133rd Birth Anniversary Celebration in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

Conferred in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Indian classical music, his performances in Malaysia and abroad, and his social service.

The Sultan of Sitar
The title “Sultan of Sitar” was formally conferred upon Samuel J. Dass by the Unique Arts Foundation, in collaboration with the National Department for Culture and Arts, Negeri Sembilan, in recognition of his outstanding musical contribution to Hindustani music.
Seven Champion of the World Titles
Representing Malaysia, Samuel received:
- Seven gold medals
- One silver medal
- Seven Champion of the World titles
Performance in honour of Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong
In 2008, Samuel took part in a cultural programme held during a luncheon in honour of Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah, organised by the Association of Wives of Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Kuala Lumpur.
International achievement
Samuel has also been recognised for promoting Malaysian creative and musical work beyond the country, and for representing Malaysia through performance and cultural exchange.
